Canonical Extended JSON preserves exact BSON types. Relaxed JSON is available when a more readable representation suits the destination.
Choose fields and flatten nested paths into columns. Spreadsheet-formula protection is on by default for text cells and headers.

Choose JSON, NDJSON, or CSV and decide whether to export the query or the collection.
The export streams to disk. Watch its progress or cancel when you no longer need it.
A few practical details
Choose canonical Extended JSON, available in JSON array or NDJSON form. Ordinary CSV is not a type-preserving database backup.
